形態特徵

Evergreen shrubs or small trees, 2–6 m tall; branches terete, glabrous.
Leaves chartaceous, oblong, 7–15 cm long, 3–6 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate to attenuate, margin entire, glabrous; petiole 3–10 mm long; stipules connate into a sheath, 6–7 mm long, needle-like at apex.
Flowers in axillary fascicles, bracteate and bracteolate, peduncle ca. 1 mm long, pedicel 1–3 mm long, densely pubescent at flowering, glabrescent in fruit; bracteoles connate into a cup, ca. 1 mm long; calyx ca. 1.5 mm long, short-pubescent, 4-lobed; corolla salverform, white, 5–7 mm long, lobes 4, oblong, ca. 4 mm long, glabrous outside, densely pilose in throat; stamens exserted, inserted at apex of corolla tube; style filiform, ca. 4 mm long, with 2 linear lobes at apex, exserted.
Berry globose, red, ca. 5 mm in diam..

分布

台灣 : in lowland primary, broad-leaved forests.
世界 : Central and southern China, and Japan.
